Nikon’s hot new low-end SLR, the D60, is the first camera to be “Eye-Fi Connected”. The Eye-Fi works with any camera that will take an SD card, but the D60 will detect it and “automatically adjust its power timer settings to ensure that photos upload effortlessly”. This apparently makes for smoother, quicker transfer of the pictures to the web or nearby computer.
To say thank you to Nikon, Eye-Fi has also added the camera maker’s my Picturetown online photo library to the growing list of Eye-Fi compatible services. We gave the card 8/10 in our Gadget Lab review, and this is just one more reason to love it. Camera makers must be happy, too, as they no longer have to worry about adding WiFi to their wares.
